I have worked with actors over many years, working as an assistant on Theatrical productions and going on to produce and direct commercials and produce photographic stills for campaigns internationally. I shoot portraits of many actors at the pinnacle of their careers but also provide the headshots for Spotlight and many new media platforms that require images that make actors stand out in a crowded market. Whether in my studio or on location, I deliver portraits or headshots in various styles. Capturing the inner essence of a person, particularly an actor, can suggest a powerful story in a single image. Whether it is the feeling of friendship, warmth, anger, concern or something else that comes across, a great image begs the viewer to want to find out more.
